Who We Are

East Bay Musical Chairs (EBMC) is a group of like-minded volunteer musicians with various backgrounds and musical training. We like playing, sharing, and making music together with folks who welcome and appreciate the musical experience.

Currently, we give one concert a month in the Berkeley area. More information can be found in the Meetup group we are associated with: Classical Music Friends in the Bay Area.

Interested in Joining?

Although the majority of us are in the East Bay, we have members all over the San Francisco Bay Area. The music we perform is largely classical but is not limited to only classical music; other types of music we've had at our concert include Broadway, jazz, and popular music.

EBMC is interested not only in sharing music with others, but creating a group of musical friends. There is a potluck dinner party and jam session after each concert and we strive to have group activities throughout the year outside of playing music.
